Sorelle Fontana (literally “Fontana Sisters”) was an Italian fashion house, specializing in high-fashion couture. The turning point For Fontana was in 1949, when the bride to be, actress Linda Christian, bought a Fontana dress for her wedding to actor Tyrone Power. From 1950 they became the go-to for the international jet set, dressing celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.
This suit is single buttoned front with two pockets and collar trimmed in black felt. Black resin buttons. Comfortable raglan sleeves.
The midi skirt is in six panels with a side-back zip closure and a slit on one calf side. It has a slight oval hem shape, slightly longer at the back.
Lined in black.
